Mia got baptized!!!!!!

Mia turned 8 in April and she got baptized May 7th at 5:00pm. It was such a wonderful day and we were so excited to be able to have Marcos' parents there as well as some of our wonderful neighbors and some of Mia's close school friends. We are so proud of the girl Mia is and the choices she makes. Her Grandma made that pretty white dress she has on as well as the cute headband. And isn't her purple cast cute! She had to wear this huge bright blue rubber waterproof glove on her arm while whe was being baptized but it all worked out well.

And then the next day......

So, Mia got a temporary cast the night she broke her arm and we had an appointment with Pediatric Orthopedics for her to get the real cast the next day. While I was on the way to take her to get her real cast on I was rearended by this sweet old man. It all ended up okay though because although we ended up late for the appointment, they still put the cast on her and the van has already been fixed. Doesn't she look happy? :-)

And now it's Mia's turn :-)

So I guess Mia got jelous of Shad so she had to go out and fall on her scooter while going down the hill. If I remember correctly, Shad also broke his arm at this age going downhill on a scooter. I think we should probably take this as a sign and get rid of the scooter. But as of yet, we have not done that. Some people never learn. :-)
